This is the straight-down-the-middle Gengar, and it is the one most people are actually looking for. Full-colour, cel-shaded violet body with deeper purple shading on the spines and legs, crimson eyes, that unmistakable grin and the long red tongue rolled out to one side. It is drawn in the pose everyone knows — arms out, floating just off the ground, clearly about to do something it should not. No text, no framing, no wordmark. Just the character, printed big.
The Design
- Full-colour cel-shaded artwork, no text or wordmark
- Classic floating pose with red eyes and tongue out
- Large centred back print with a plain front
- The most recognisable design in the Gengar drop
- Colour holds well on both black and grey
Two Fabric Weights: 160 GSM and 220 GSM
Same artwork, same print size, two different garments underneath. GSM stands for grams per square metre — the higher the number, the heavier and more structured the fabric.
Premium 220 GSM
Heavyweight, opaque and structured, with the squared-off drop that makes an oversized tee actually look oversized. Available in black.
Everyday 160 GSM
The lighter weight, breathable and soft, better suited to hot weather and daily rotation. Available in black and grey.
Colours and Sizes Available
Choose black for maximum contrast on the violet and crimson, or charcoal grey for a slightly faded, lived-in look.
- Black — available in 160 GSM and 220 GSM
- Grey — available in 160 GSM
- Sizes — XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL (unisex)
- Print — back print only, plain front
How It Fits and How to Wash It
Oversized unisex, drop shoulder, wide body, short boxy sleeve. Order your normal size for the fit in the photos, or size up if you want it hanging looser. Care: cold wash inside out, no bleach, dry in shade, iron on the reverse only.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the standard Gengar artwork?
Yes. This is the classic full-colour, tongue-out pose with no text or wordmark added — the most instantly recognisable of the five designs in this drop.
Black or grey for a colour print like this?
Both work. Black gives the violet more contrast and pop, while grey softens it slightly and reads a little more washed-out and vintage. Grey is 160 GSM only.
What is the difference between 160 GSM and 220 GSM?
GSM is grams per square metre — the weight of the fabric. 160 GSM is lighter and more breathable for everyday and warmer weather. 220 GSM is heavier, more opaque and holds a boxier oversized shape.
